Speak The impetus for Speak was to introduce Debit Rewards. However, because we had also been receiving a lot of negative feedback on the design of our current debit card, we took the opportunity to do something a little different than your standard promotion. We let our members voice their opinion on our current design, submit photos and illustrations for a new card, and then vote on the top submissions. After five months and a lot of excitement we did it, we had a new card. More than just a design contest though, Speak embodies the spirit of credit unions by taking democratic member control of the credit union to a whole nother level. CJ Kipper executed this project with immense skill, and as a result of his hard work we won a Spectrum Award from the Washington Credit Union League.
